Bellamare 896 Cast Iron Clawfoot Bathtub, 170 cm

Bellamare 896 is 170 litres, ball-and-claw feet — the litre figure is what a soak actually needs, not the outside footprint.

Delivery arrives crated on a pallet; two people are needed to move it into the room, ideally before the last stud wall goes up.

It is built in cast iron: cast iron with a fired enamel coating, the traditional material because nothing else holds heat as long once the water's in. It's built to be serviced in place — hinges and rollers come off with the tools already in most homes.

Care

Wipe down after use and avoid abrasive cleaners on acrylic or stone resin — they dull the finish permanently. Cast iron and copper only need occasional polishing to keep their look.
