Calderyn 601 Oval Freestanding Bathtub, 170 cm

Set up in a loft conversion where the plumbing had to be run from scratch, Calderyn 601 plumbs in with a freestanding filler rather than deck-mounted taps, which is what keeps the sides clean.

Delivery arrives crated on a pallet; two people are needed to move it into the room, ideally before the last stud wall goes up.

It is built in acrylic: a reinforced acrylic shell, warm to the touch and light enough for two people to carry up a stairwell. It outlives the reason it usually gets replaced, which is a bathroom remodel, not a failed part.

Care

Wipe down after use and avoid abrasive cleaners on acrylic or stone resin — they dull the finish permanently. Cast iron and copper only need occasional polishing to keep their look.
