Marbella 233 Oval Freestanding Bathtub, 180 cm

Set up in a renovation where the old suite came out down to the studs, Marbella 233 plumbs in with a freestanding filler rather than deck-mounted taps, which is what keeps the sides clean.

Delivery arrives crated on a pallet; two people are needed to move it into the room, ideally before the last stud wall goes up.

It is built in stone resin: a stone resin composite, denser than acrylic and colder to the touch until the water's been in a minute, but it holds heat noticeably longer once it has. It outlives the reason it usually gets replaced, which is a bathroom remodel, not a failed part.

Care

Wipe down after use and avoid abrasive cleaners on acrylic or stone resin — they dull the finish permanently. Cast iron and copper only need occasional polishing to keep their look.
