Nordvane 450 Cast Iron Clawfoot Bathtub, 170 cm

Set up in a new-build bathroom plumbed for it from day one, Nordvane 450 plumbs in with a freestanding filler rather than deck-mounted taps, which is what keeps the sides clean.

The overflow and waste are cut at the factory to a standard spacing, so a filler or waste kit bought separately still lines up.

Delivery arrives crated on a pallet; two people are needed to move it into the room, ideally before the last stud wall goes up. Nothing on it is one sealed unit — the door, the tray and the fittings come apart the way they went together, for repair or for moving.

Care

Wipe down after use and avoid abrasive cleaners on acrylic or stone resin — they dull the finish permanently. Cast iron and copper only need occasional polishing to keep their look.
