Verolux 392 Cast Iron Clawfoot Bathtub, 170 cm

Verolux 392 is 170 litres, ball-and-claw feet — the litre figure is what a soak actually needs, not the outside footprint.

Nothing about the shape is fragile once it's installed — the risk is entirely in getting it up the stairs.

It is built in cast iron: cast iron with a fired enamel coating, the traditional material because nothing else holds heat as long once the water's in. It outlives the reason it usually gets replaced, which is a bathroom remodel, not a failed part.

Care

Wipe down after use and avoid abrasive cleaners on acrylic or stone resin — they dull the finish permanently. Cast iron and copper only need occasional polishing to keep their look.
