Castell 289 Freestanding Bathtub Filler Tap

Built for a renovation where the old suite came out down to the studs, Castell 289 is finished the same on every surface, since a freestanding tub is seen from every angle.

Internal parts are brass throughout, even where the outside is finished in another metal — that's what stops it seizing after a few years of hard water.

It is matte black brass: solid brass under a PVD matte black finish, which doesn't wear through to a different colour underneath the way plated finishes can. Ten years of daily use leaves a door seal or a roller tired long before the glass or the tub itself gives up.

Care

Wipe down after use; a hard-water area benefits from a monthly descale to keep flow and finish both intact.
